Broccoli

Broccoli is a vegetable from the crucifers or the cabbage family (cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage); it is very common in the Mediterranean diet due to its HEALTH BENEFITS.

Choose compact heads of broccoli that have not been damaged in any way. The colour must be even, not yellowish, although it does vary according to the variety of broccoli. It must not have yellow buds on it either because this is a sign that it is over ripe. The stems must be firm without any spots of mud on them. This vegetable is a highly perishable product and it must be stored without washing, in an open plastic bag, in the bottom part of the fridge, in this way it lasts for up to a week.
